Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy A. Cimatu (seated, ninth from left) joins the undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, bureau and line directors, regional executive directors, and service directors of the Department during the 2019 New Year’s Call held January 4 at the DENR Central Office in Quezon City. Cimatu vowed that the agency would be more aggressive in enforcing environmental laws especially those on clean air, clean water, and solid waste management. He has pinpointed the improvement of water quality in Manila Bay as his top priority, eyeing changes in approach particularly in holding accountable those responsible for discharging untreated wastewater into the bay. ###
