Cimatu, Garcia acknowledged the role of USAID in “transforming the way we conserve biodiversity, manage our forests, and reduce forest degradation” through USAID-supported DENR programs such as the Biodiversity and Watersheds Improved for Stronger Economy and Ecosystem Resilience (USAID-B+WISER) and the LAWIN Forest and Biodiversity Protection System.
