Aiming to bring government services closer to the people of Iloilo, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 6 joins the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) on December 9-10, 2023, at Guimbal National High School, Guimbal, Iloilo.

The DENR 6 delegation was led by Regional Executive Director Livino B. Duran, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Raul L. Lorillia, and PENR Officer Salvador C. Manglinong Jr., with the cooperation of PENRO Iloilo, CENROs Guimbal, Barotac Nuevo and Sara, Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), Environment Management Bureau (EMB), and officers from the Regional Office.

Representing Pres. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, along with other officials from different national government agencies. House Representatives and other local leaders of Iloilo are also in force to show full support to this initiative.

 

“Nandito po ako upang magbigay ng mensahe ng pangako ng Bagong Pilipinas. Isang pamahalaan na hindi naghihintay. Pamahalaang kusang lumalapit sa mga mamamayan para matugunan ang inyong mga pangangailangan sa mas lalong madaling panahon...Tinutupad natin ito sa pamamagitan ng Serbisyo Fair na idinaraos natin ngayon sa inyong probinsya”, House Speaker Romualdez expressed.

Along with 51 other government agencies participating in the two-day event, DENR 6 offers the following services such as, Handog Titulo Program, Application and Issuance of Forestry Permit, Seedlings Distribution, Free Legal Counseling of Land Forestry Concern and Title Consultation, Wildlife Permit Application and Permitting, Application for Water Resources, Sand and Gravel Permit Issuances/Registration, Groundwater Resource Assessment, Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC), Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC), Permit to Operate (PTO), Discharge Permits (DP), Permit to Transport (PTT), Hazard Wastes Issuance of Permits and Application, and IEC Materials Distribution.

“We at DENR 6 fully support this initiative of the national government. It is our mandate to render swift and quality services to our constituents. Rest assured that we are doing everything that we can to continuously improve our services and reach as many people as possible”, Regional Executive Director Duran said.

At least 80,000 beneficiaries will be catered by the participating agencies and the estimated worth of BPSF projects and financial assistance allocated for the people of Iloilo will be PHP 900 million.
