DENR VI HOLDS PASIDUNGOG KAG PAGDAYAW FOR 2ND SEM OF 2023

In recognition of the efforts and achievements of its officials, employees, and offices, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region VI held its Pasidungog kag Pagdayaw for the Second Semester of 2023, as well as the Oath-taking Ceremony for newly promoted employees of different offices in the region on December 20, 2023, at the DENR VI Activity Center, Iloilo City.

Leading the ceremonies were Regional Executive Director Livino B. Duran, Assistant Regional Directors Raul L. Lorilla for Technical Services, Ivene D. Reyes for Special Concerns, and Andres T. Untal for Management Services who is also serving as the Chairperson for the PRAISE Committee.

Also in attendance were the different Division Chiefs and the Provincial and Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers from all over Western Visayas, some of whom are considered as “end-users”. End-users are officials or immediate supervisors where vacancies are located and filled-up because of these new promotions.

“On behalf of DENR Region 6, please accept our heartfelt congratulations to you and the members of your family…To all our achievers, the awards are testimonies of your individual achievements and performance. But the key here is consistency. The challenge is how to maintain being at the top of the line…Mahalaga po kayo sa ating opisina. Do good for yourself, your families, and the institution we represent”, RED Duran expressed in his message.

The endeavor was organized by the Administrative Division led by its chief, Dr. Ernest C. Federiso who is also the Co-Chairperson of the PRAISE Committee.

A total of twenty-two (22) achievement awards, one (1) posthumous award, nineteen (19) service awards, seven (7) career and self-development awards, six (6) awards for board examination passers, and one (1) certificate of recognition were given to outstanding employees and retirees. In addition, twenty (20) physical performance awards, six (6) plaques of performance awards, and two (2) special citations for years 2019-2022 were given to exemplary PENROs and CENROs.

“We have two words in Ilonggo, Pasidungog kag Pagdayaw which means that we do acknowledge and praise the achievements of our fellow employees. Achievements in the form of self-development, career-development which in one way or another has contributed to DENR 6”, ARD for Management Services and PRAISE Committee Chairperson Untal said.

On the other hand, twenty-seven (27) newly promoted personnel took their oaths of office administered and signed by RED Duran and witnessed by the end-users. There are fourteen (14) from the Regional Office, three (3) from PENRO Iloilo, one (1) each for CENRO Sara and Barotac Nuevo, two (2) from PENRO Guimaras, one (1) from PENRO Negros Occidental, two (2) from CENRO Bago City, and three (3) from CENRO Kabankalan City.
